With more than fourteen years of experience, Courtney is well-versed in tax preparation and tax planning for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. She has a unique blend of technical accounting, analytical, investigatory, forensic, and problem-solving skills to help her clients. Courtney enjoys public speaking and advising clients on navigating legislative changes.
Courtney specializes in forensic accounting for litigation support and investigation support services. Whether for a divorce or a business, she enjoys the challenge of using her analytical skills to investigate transactions and assets. After unraveling the financial puzzle, Courtney compiles the facts, findings, and conclusions in plain-language reports suitable for presentation in court.
For family law attorneys, she provides vital divorce support services, including equitable distributions and tracing of assets. She will work closely with you to evaluate the financial impact of divorce and a proposed settlement for your client. She is also happy to help business owners with internal controls assessments and proactive fraud risk assessment consultations -- to help deter fraudulent activity before it occurs.
Courtney is a student of the Harvard Business Analytics Program, a cross-functional program of Harvard Business School, the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She is learning to help business owners understand their data, form effective strategy, and drive disruptive innovation.
A Frederick County native, Courtney has been involved in philanthropic efforts to support the arts in Frederick for the past decade.
